WHAT YOU’LL DO

We’re looking for a hands-on, curious, and energetic Maintenance Intern to join our crew of fix-it pros! In this 6-month internship, you’ll dive headfirst into the world of mechanical and electrical maintenance learning the ropes, solving real problems, and keeping our equipment (and operations) running like a well-oiled machine. You’ll get your hands dirty (literally), shadow experienced technicians, and build technical muscle that’ll serve you for years to come. This program is all about growing talent so if you’ve got the drive, a can-do attitude, and a passion for understanding how things work, this is your time to shine.
Think of it as your backstage pass to the world of industrial maintenance with plenty of tools teamwork, and troubleshooting along the way!

THE ROLE IN BRIEF

    Customer General Maintenance and Repair:

● Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on machinery and equipment.
● Conduct cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and tightening of all equipment.
● Efficiently manage and plan tasks to maximize output during the workday.
● Assist in the fabrication and maintenance of simple structures, including mezzanines.
● Work under the guidance of senior maintenance personnel to ensure quality standards
are met.
● Execute flooring and plumbing projects as assigned.
● Undertake repair and furnishing tasks related to flooring and plumbing.
● Conduct metalwork finishing and painting to a high-quality standard.
● Learn and apply techniques for effective metalwork finishing.
● Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.

    Learning Aptitude

● Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures.
● Gain familiarity with departmental systems and practices.
● Participate in written and oral examinations to demonstrate proficiency.
● Undergo training and certification for equipment operation as required.
● Learn to account for time effectively to meet project deadlines.
Safety Compliance:
● Safely operate powered equipment following proper procedures.
● Adhere to the Manufacturing Safety Commandments to ensure a safe working
environment.
● Follow safety guidelines and protocols during all tasks.

                   DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

● Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
● Mechanical aptitude and an interest in maintenance and repair work.
● Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in maintenance activities.
● Ability to learn and apply new skills through on-the-job training.
● Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
● Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills.
● Attention to detail and commitment to performing tasks accurately.
● Safety-conscious with a strong sense of responsibility.
● Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established protocols.
