WHAT YOU’LL DO 

We’re looking to add a Quality Assurance Officer who will ensure that laboratory analysis is done accurately and timely and any deviations are reported promptly · The officer will also ensure that that Quality Assurance support to other functions (supply chain, operations, MOKO lab, Sales and Marketing) are done diligently and within reasonable time. Finally, the officer will be responsible  for making sure all Quality Assurance documentation are updated signed off for implementation

THE ROLE IN BRIEF

Interface with other functions

Supply chain 

  • Develop standards to be used in the evaluation of suppliers during the sources phase. 
  • Develop supplier audit checklist which will be used to assess supplier capability to provide quality goods and services. 
  • Carry out pre-shipment quality checks either personally or through third party inspectors. 
  • Give feedback to suppliers on their quality performance and areas of improvements. 
  • Assist with permit applications from KEBS by providing all technical requirements for products. 

Operations 

  • Organise analysis of incoming raw and packaging materials against standards and ensure reports are done promptly. 
  •  Carry out periodic quality checks on materials and finished products to ensure they comply with standards.
  • Organise for retesting of rejected/obsolete/expired materials for usage decisions.
  • Organise for analysis and RCA/CAPA for market returns and report resolutions for implementation. 

Sales and Marketing 

  • Carry out periodic market visits and reports to check the customer satisfaction in regards to the quality of MOKO products. 
  • Provide technical information where needed for Customer relations management. 
  • Organise for analysis of customer complaints, report on the customer complaint and log the issues and resolutions. 
  • Carry out an annual MOCK recall as per the provided SOP to ensure the company’s preparedness.

Moko lab 

  • Work with product development team by providing material technical information and quality test methods for new products.
  • Together with production and product development carry out quality tests on new recipes.
  • Create and maintain all master data information for new products (TDS, MSDS, Recipe frameworks) 
  • Manage change control on recipes to ensure there is no mix-up in production processes. 

Quality Management system 

  • Develop a Quality Manual which will act as a blueprint of all quality processes within Watervale Investment Limited. 
  • Standardise all QA documents and ensure document and record controls are adhered to. 
  • Carry out quality process audits at Foam, Fibre, Sofa and Wood work value streams and report deviations and resolutions. 
  • Carry out periodic training on quality matters to relevant staff across the organizations.

  • You possess a bachelor’s degree in analytical chemistry, industrial chemistry or Biochemistry. 
  • You have strong analytical, communication, decision making and interpersonal skills.
  • You have profound negotiation skills and ability to use networks to gain support for achieving business results.
  • You have strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  •  You have at least 3 years relevant experience at supervisory level.
